Event Leader

Job Type: Full Time

We're seeking a passionate and creative Special Event Planner to join our team and orchestrate extraordinary experiences for our guests.

Job Overview:

The Special Event Planner will lead the planning and execution of special events at Toledo Spirits and HEAVY Beer Co. This role involves managing event food and beverage sales, coordinating space rentals, and supporting the design and marketing of creative ticketed events. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and has experience in retail food and beverage front-of-house and back-of-house operations.

Event Planning & Execution:

  • Coordinate all aspects of special events including corporate gatherings, weddings, private parties, and public events.
  • Work with clients to understand their needs and preferences, providing personalized recommendations for food, beverages, and space arrangements.
  • Develop detailed event timelines, logistics plans, and contingency strategies to ensure seamless execution.
  • Collaborate with the culinary and beverage teams to design customized menus for each event.

Food & Beverage Sales:

  • Drive food and beverage sales by crafting unique catering packages and beverage offerings.
  • Create pricing structures for different event packages and ensure profitability targets are met.
  • Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure high-quality, cost-effective products.

Space Rental Coordination:

  • Manage the rental of event spaces, optimizing booking schedules and maximizing occupancy rates.
  • Ensure spaces are maintained to the highest standard before and after each event.
  • Work closely with the facilities team to handle setup and breakdown logistics.

Marketing & Ticketed Events:

  • Develop and execute event concepts and ticketed events, including themed dinners, tasting sessions, and entertainment nights.
  • Support seasonal themes and special events with management.
  • Utilize social media, email marketing, and partnerships to drive ticket sales.
  • Analyze ticket sales data and adjust marketing strategies for maximum impact.
  • Create visually appealing online event listings with compelling descriptions and imagery.

Client & Guest Relations:

  • Build strong relationships with clients, ensuring their vision is realized and expectations exceeded.
  • Act as the primary point of contact during events, handling any issues or changes promptly and professionally.

Budgeting & Reporting:

  • Manage event budgets, track expenses, and ensure financial objectives are met.
  • Generate post-event reports highlighting successes, challenges, and areas for improvement.


  • 3+ years of experience in event planning, hospitality, or a similar role.
  • Proven track record of successfully planning and executing events.
  • Strong understanding of food and beverage sales, space rental, and marketing.
  • Proficiency in event management software and online marketing tools.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Exceptional FOH communication skills and managing guest expectations.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in the distillery, brewery, or hospitality industry.
  • Creative thinking and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of local health and safety regulations.

Sales & Activations Specialist

Job Type: Full Time

Toledo Spirits Company and HEAVY Beer Co are looking for a Sales & Activations Specialist to join our vibrant team! This is a cool gig for someone who’s a blend of sales guru and marketing maven, ready to support our company and distributor(s) with some fresh energy.

The Role:

You’ll be the face of our brands, chatting up bar and restaurant folks (owners, managers, and patrons) about our awesome products. You'll need to be outgoing, fun, and super comfortable striking up creative conversations. This is your chance to combine work with fun and help us spread the word about our amazing portfolio.

What You’ll Do:

  • Be the Brand Expert: Talk confidently and passionately about Toledo Spirits and HEAVY Beer Co. products.
  • Nurture Relationships: Follow up with our existing bar and liquor store accounts to keep them happy, merchandised well, and have appropriate signage and placement.
  • Expand Our Reach: Make those bold cold calls to new bars, getting them excited about our products.
  • Host Tastings: Get new bar and restaurant managers/buyers to taste and fall in love with our products.
  • Plan Epic Events: Work with accounts to host takeovers and other events featuring our drinks and taps.
  • Get on Menus: Persuade bars to feature our products on their seasonal menus.
  • Support Distributors: Be the go-to person for our distributor, ensuring smooth operations and market support.
  • Be Professional: While having fun, keep it professional and smart.
  • Enjoy and Stay Safe: Enjoy your work and keep safety in mind always.

You’ll Need:

  • Personality Plus: Outgoing, engaging, and full of energy.
