A series built around exceptional barrels — our own when they earn it, curated selections when we find something we cannot walk away from, and unique finishes when the experiment is worth sharing. Each release is limited. Each one is unrepeated. The only constant is the standard.

We built this series to explore what bourbon can be outside of our existing labels and stories. No fixed identity. No formula. Just bourbon that meets an uncompromising standard — and nothing that does not.
The Process
Every release in the Lowertown Obscure series begins with a single question: is this the best bourbon we have ever tasted?
We taste widely. We walk away often. When we find a barrel — ours or someone else’s — that answers yes, we bottle it. When we do not, we wait. Each release is proof of that process.
